Skoolie.net is probably the
best Forum for School Bus converters there is. There are
a few Yahoo Groups out there also dealing with School Bus
conversions , but they're not nearly as good as Skoolie.net is.

... Many - MANY Moons ago - after dealing with a
Fascist Pig named 'ARKY' who ran rough-shod over
a School Bus Conversion group on Yahoo ..... Steve owner/operator of Skoolie.net started his forum as a place people
interested in converting buses and the like
could go and more comfortably learn about how one
goes about doing this sort of unusual thing....
For many years SKOOLIE.NET was a great place to
hang-out and learn all sorts of good things ...
but things have changed there.
It's still a wonderful resource , but for some
strange reason Steve ( who I used to have
respect for ) not only allows the most RABID of
Right-Wing types to discuss the usual uniformed
CRAZY SHIT these types seem to think is OK to
talk about ....
Steve has actually elevated some truly NAZI-LIKE
guy name 'Smitty' to 'moderator' status.
Not sure what this situation means - I suppose
it could be something as simple as - Steve was
just a closet Right-Wing Fascist to begin with .
And just needed time and the right people to
join his group , before he could show his true
colors to the internet world ... or it's
possible he's just a lazy slob who allows any
dip-shit to talk about whatever stupid thing
they want.
So be forewarned - there be Rabid to the point
of gun-toting , goose-stepping , Sara Palin
Lovin' Tea party types hanging out at
Skoolie.net these days.

Cheap RV Living ...very good info on all sorts of
ways to live less expensively when traveling
Here's a few sites where people show off the
modifications they've made to the MDT's (Medium-Duty
Truck)& HDT's (Heavy-Duty Truck ) they use for towing
their big 5th wheel trailers around with.
These are big honking trucks that use more fuel than
we'd like to see ..plus we wish they would convert
them over to run off Veggie & Bio-fuels ...but all in
all there is a lot to be said for using these trucks
rather than some smaller truck to tow with.
The biggest benefit is the safety aspect . These big
trucks have the stuff to handle towing a large Rolling
Home around , which makes them much safer to be
out there on the road than someone pulling a trailer
with an under-powered truck
Plus one could raise the point ,that since the motors
and running gear in these Big Trucks don't get stressed
out by pulling big loads , they just don't break down as
often as small trucks , needing a bunch expensive
non-renewable parts .....
